Our client, a large professional service organisation, is looking for an experienced Payroll Executive to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payrolls, undertake general administrative duties, and work collaboratively within the payroll hub.
Day to Day Duties:
* Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of payrolls to agreed deadlines.
* Input data for payrolls when necessary, running audit and validation checks, as well as interfacing data to General Ledger and Pensions systems.
* Monitor SSP, SMP, and other statutory payments and calculations.
* Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary.
* Manage payroll changes to the time and attendance systems (PXD).
* Administer the end-to-end payroll process and auto enrolment compliance for employees.
* Answer payroll-related enquiries from clients and act as a trusted advisor.
* Act as first line support for pay queries.
* Peer check payrolls.
* Undertake general administrative duties and work collaboratively within the payroll hub.
* Develop relationships with the team, ensuring effective communication with wider offices, HMRC, and other third-party providers.
* Effectively communicate with team and wider payroll teams.
* Keep up to date with payroll legislation and industry changes through independent research.
What Are We Looking For?
* At least 1 year’s previous payroll experience within a busy service-driven environment.
* End-to-end payroll processing experience, including pensions, benefits, and statutory payments.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail across both manual and systems-based work.
* A natural ability to coordinate, prioritise, and multitask with little supervision.
* Strong customer-focused approach, with the ability to handle customer queries by telephone and email.
