Your new role As a Contracts Manager with your new employer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire lifecycle of their construction projects. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include but won't be limited to the following: Feasibility Stage: Evaluating new sites Conducting site surveys Managing planning applications and conditions Coordinating with NI Water and other service providers Tender Stage: Gathering and preparing tender packages Managing contractor appointments Ensuring all necessary approvals and designs are in place Overseeing the tender process from invitation to contractor selection Construction Stage: Liaising with consultants and contractors Ensuring compliance with structural warranties and safety regulations Overseeing the progress and quality of construction Managing valuations and payments Handover Stage: Coordinating the completion and handover of properties Managing defect resolution Ensuring customer satisfaction Overseeing the issuance of completion certificates and handover packs What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will need proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry. You should have strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and standards, along with excellent project management and organisational skills. The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team is essential, as is a proactive and problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
