Quality, Environment, Safety and Health Coordinator We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Quality, Environment, Safety and Health Coordinator to help manage and improve our integrated management systems across a number of our business units in the UK. Reporting to an Operational Director (OD), the QESH Coordinator’s role aims to ensure that health, safety, wellbeing, quality and environmental performance are embedded in how we work and deliver our projects to add value with a pragmatic, proportionate, efficient and positive approach. The Role & Responsibilities IMS Coordinator/main contact for external auditor Develop and direct the implementation of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental strategy in line with the Company IMS strategy and objectives. Co-ordinate and lead IMS representatives in two RPS business units (our Environment team and Heath, Safety and Risk team). Establish KPI’s with business unit Management Teams and prepare monthly report for Operations Directors and MD. Convene regular information presentations to staff. Carry out regular IMS compliance risk identification and escalate areas of concern to Operational Directors, and MD. Convene and make direct contribution to meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other publications, as necessary and appropriate. Support the business to maintain external certifications and registrations appropriate to Business Units’ operating model and direct as necessary the adoption of additional standards and registrations i.e., ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Enable a safe, healthy and environmentally compliant working environment whilst furthering and promoting best practice standards through innovation. Maintain legal registers and the evaluation of compliance for the Environment and HSR Business Units. Promote cultural understanding and the adoption of consistently high standards through direct and indirect interventions and initiatives. Support the business to ensure that we are meeting or exceeding client expectations. Responsible for the Client feedback process. Be responsible for supporting and maintaining a client focused culture within the office. Encourage compliance/integration with any RPS or wider Tetra Tech procedures. Monitor, analyse and review the division’s IMS performance and trends, identify appropriate initiatives and differentiators to ensure continual performance improvement and consistency across the offices and advise the relevant OD and Managing Director and relevant parties on appropriate actions. Develop, maintain and ensure publication of performance reports from all areas of the Division’s business. Act as the focal point for IMS queries and actions. Ensure appropriate day-to-day direction and guidance to the team. Ensure effective delivery of IMS, including internal audits designed to maintain compliance with company policy and strategy. Compile appropriate performance reports for the business and maintain performance monitoring, analysis and review against established metrics and standards. Support the achievement of good industry practice and business competitiveness. Who we’re looking for - Relevant Degree qualification relating to Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality or equivalent. Extensive demonstrable working knowledge of managing an IMS in a consultancy environment including taking projects from inception through to completion. Detailed understanding and application of at least one of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 and awareness of the requirements of the remaining 2 standards. Auditing experience, preferably in a multi-disciplinary design consultancy environment and Lead Auditor qualified. Ability to prepare comprehensive, clear, concise reports. Self-motivated, with the ability to work without close supervision and capable of providing strong leadership. Demonstrates an ability to develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business. What’s in it for you?
