This is an excellent chance to develop your experience and skills working with both adults and children in a variety of settings including community clinics, care homes and patients own homes. You will be dealing with a variety of conditions includingnutrition support, coeliac disease, allergies, gastroenterology conditions,weight management, diabetes,and more besides.
The paediatric aspect of the role will be to provide support for the Advanced Paediatric Dietitian by offering a range of dietetic advice to children and their families. Previous paediatric experience is desirable but not essential and training will be provided. If you are interested in paediatrics then this job is an opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in paediatrics while working in a supportive all-age team.

This post involves providing dietetic care to a variety of conditions includingnutrition support, coeliac disease, allergies, gastroenterology conditions, weight management, diabetes,and more besides. Other main duties include:
• Decide priorities for own work area, balancing other patient related and professional demands, and ensure that these remain in accordance with specialty.
• To ensure the safe and timely transfer of patients on nutrition support between settings and liaise with appropriate internal and external agencies.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in discussions concerning the running of the nutrition and dietetic service.
• Participate in the achievement of dietetic department objectives
We are involved in the training of student dietitians and staff development is a high priority. You will be fully supported by lead specialists to enable you to establish yourself in the role. We are committed to work based education and training to improve clinical skills and we actively encourage CPD and audit.
You will be a key member of our small, friendly and innovative nutrition and dietetic team which consists of 6 dietitians, 2 dietetic assistants and admin support. The team covers a range of specialities including; oncology, neurology, enteral tube feeding, weight management, gastroenterology, allergies/intolerance and paediatrics.
