Family Action & the Role’s Impact:
At Family Action we support people through change, challenge or crisis. It’s what we’ve done for over 150 years. We protect children, support young people and adults and offer direct, practical help to families and communities.
Living Well is a transformative programme to deliver real change and improvement to mental health services for individuals in Bolton. Its aim is to design a service that sits around individuals to support their health and wellbeing rather than expecting people to fit into our services. The role of Recovery Coordinator will be hosted by Family Action and will be part of the Living Well Team in Bolton.
We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of Mental Health conditions and their impact on daily living and a strong track record of working with individuals and their families to deliver positive outcomes. You will work within the team to prototype new ways of supporting individuals, and contribute to the ongoing development of the team by sharing learning and by listening and responding to feedback from people who use the service.
Main Responsibilities:
1. You will line manage a team of Recovery workers, providing high quality supervision and line management. You will carry a small caseload of clients alongside leading the team.
2. You will be responsible for attending Living Well meetings including multi-disciplinary team meetings, allocation and leadership meetings.
3. To develop and maintain positive professional working relationships and referral pathways to local statutory and community based services which support adults.
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
1. Strong interpersonal, consultation and holistic assessment skills.
2. An interest in working with people to make sustainable positive changes.
3. An effective communicator, who works in a person centred way.
4. Knowledge of Mental Health conditions and strategies to improve health and wellbeing.
5. Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Adult workforce.
Benefits:
1. An annual paid leave entitlement of 30 working days plus bank holidays.
2. Up to 6% matched-pension contributions.
3. Flexible working arrangements and new starters have the right to make flexible working requests from day one of employment.
4. Enhanced paid sick leave and paid family leave provisions.
5. Eye care and winter flu jabs vouchers.
6. Cycle to work scheme.
7. Investing in your professional development with ongoing quality training and career development opportunities.
We are forward looking, ambitious and committed to continuous improvement. We are a people focused, can-do organisation, which strives for excellence in all we do and operates with mutual respect.
