This opportunity offers some flexible hybrid working and could possibly be pro-rated to 4 days a week. What you’ll be doing day to day: Management accounting (using Xero) Managing the firm’s business continuity Researching and preparing management reports on business trends Forward planning, budgeting and presenting to the Board Oversight of payroll HMRC, expenses, VAT returns, tax planning Producing the annual accounts, working with auditor and filing with Companies House Invoicing and credit control and making payments Managing all contracts Manging the building lease Liaising with technical support Company secretarial responsibilities Human Resources including benefits, off and on boarding, GDPR compliance Managing training, offsites, internal team building events The skills you need to bring: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations Experience with financial reporting and analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proactive approach to improving client services and processes
