About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to join a dedicated early years team on the outskirts of Boston, Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the nursery manager and ensuring the highest quality of care and education for our young learners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Nursery Manager in daily operations and strategic planning
2. Ensure compliance with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
3. Supervise and mentor nursery staff, providing guidance and professional development
4. Assist in creating and implementing engaging learning environments
5. Maintain accurate and comprehensive child development records
6. Support safeguarding procedures and child protection protocols
7. Help manage nursery resources and budget
8. Deputise for the Nursery Manager in their absence
Essential Requirements
1. Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent
2. Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a nursery or early years setting
3. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
4. Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff
5. Current Paediatric First Aid certification
6. Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
7. Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing environments
Desirable Qualifications
1. Level 4 or 5 Management qualification in Early Years
2. Additional specialised training in child development
3. Experience in a leadership or deputy management role
