The Role As a Lead M&E Engineer, you will play a vital role in the engineering aspects of energy and water efficiency projects. Specifically, you will provide technical and commercial input to project implementation, bid generation and opportunity scoping, conduct design calculations, write design reports, create schematics and liaise with customers. You will also develop solutions to energy and water efficiency upgrade challenges, while driving continued high-quality design and technical approaches in line with up-to-date best practice industry standards across the engineering team. Additionally, you will: - Collate technical and commercial information from manufacturers/suppliers - Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed reports for clients - Assist clients with funding applications through site and technology assessments - Provide technical peer reviews and support to the engineering team About You To be considered as a Lead M&E Engineer, you will need: - At least five years' experience in the energy industry - Experience in designing hydraulic and renewable heating systems - Expertise in energy consumption modelling and carbon emissions analysis - Knowledge of low-carbon technologies, including GSHP, ASHP, Solar PV, and CHP systems - Bid and project management experience, working to tight deadlines - Proficiency in interpreting design information, such as P&IDs and schematics - A BEng/MEng in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering - Chartered Engineer status or to be working towards CEng with CIBSE, IMechE, or IET Other organisations may call this role Chartered Engineer, M&E Engineer, Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Energy Systems Engineer, Renewable Energy Engineer, or Building Services Engineer.
