Your Role: Making an Impact As a General Ledger Accountant, you will: Ensure Accuracy : Maintain general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and oversee reconciliations for Fixed Assets, Payroll, Intercompany, and Inventory. Drive Excellence : Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and systems aligned with international standards and compliance regulations. Audit Support : Facilitate annual external audits and internal audits by providing required documentation and responses. Team Collaboration : Work closely with the Sectional Accounting Manager and Group Head of Accounting to implement robust internal controls and support compliance across departments. Financial Reporting : Assist in preparing year-end statutory and consolidated financial statements under IFRS. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a skilled and motivated professional with: Experience & Knowledge Essential : At least 5 years of general accounting experience. Strong technical accounting background. Preferred : Experience in utility or infrastructure sectors. Familiarity with multi-company operations in the UK. Skills & Competencies Analytical and problem-solving expertise. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to diverse cultures. Proven ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Team-oriented yet capable of working independently. Knowledge of accounting trends and internal controls. Qualifications Essential : University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CMA, CA, ACCA).
