About the Role:My client is looking for a Junior Software Developer to join their growing IT team at Pertemps Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in software development and contribute to innovative projects that support the business's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of in-house applications and software solutions.
Work closely with senior developers to improve existing systems and develop new features.
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure smooth business operations.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions on best practices.
Collaborate with various departments to understand business requirements and implement effective solutions.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation for all development processes.Skills & Experience Required:
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Knowledge of programming languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, or SQL.
Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks.
Understanding of database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.Desirable Skills:
Experience with cloud-based platforms (Azure, AWS).
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
