Senior Engineer (Temporary Works Coordinator)
A fantastic opportunity for a Senior Engineer (Temporary Works Coordinator) to join the team at Murphy working on the HS2/BBV Utilities Framework. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of various utility diversion projects by providing a safe engineering service to a Project Manager and assist the Construction Project Manager in construction operations.

What you will be doing
1. Reporting to Project Manager(s) / Construction Manager(s)
2. Act as Temporary Works Coordinator to ensure temporary works are selected, built and inspected as per relevant designs and procedures.
3. Liaise with the BBV Construction / Temporary Works Team as required to ensure compliance to their procedures.
4. Supervise and manage section engineers, site engineers and Temporary Works Supervisors to ensure accurate engineering control is provided.
5. Assist with design schemes. Liaise with designer to ensure that the drawings and specification documents contain sufficient, accurate information for construction of the works and have no impact to the programme, raising RFIs and TQs.
6. Monitor the work under their control to ensure that any unsafe work conditions and non-compliance with Company policies and procedures are promptly remedied. Ensure all relevant records are kept.
7. Maintain good working relations with client, designer, team, and supply chain.
8. Communicate with the site team including workforce to ensure full understanding of information provided.
9. Take a personal interest in identifying, coaching, and developing key engineering staff.
Who we’re looking for
10. Minimum HND/HNC Engineering Qualification
11. Experience as Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
12. Previous experience of Utilities – Diversions or New Connections – Desirable
13. Able to articulate engineering concepts both verbally and written to stakeholders.
14. Competent in AutoCAD or MicroStation
15. Demonstrated use of Common Data Environments (CDE) for information management

The HS2/BBV Utilities Framework Contract comprises the diversion of various utility assets (Gas, Water, Power, Comms and Sewers) across HS2’s Area North.
