Position: KS1 ASD teacher to start after February half term
Location: SEN Primary School based in South Croydon
Start Date: February 2025
Career Teachers are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated KS1 ASD SEN Teacher on behalf of a SEN Primary School in South Croydon.
The school is for children with severe learning difficulties, profound learning difficulties, and autism for pupils aged 4 – 11 years old.
Teachers must be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Impact within their own class
2. Impact beyond their own class
3. Positive influence on the teaching practice of teaching assistants
The post holder will be expected to work effectively following Teacher Standards and school policies. They would lead and develop an agreed area of responsibility.
They will have line management responsibility for their teaching assistant team and LTSAs.
They will have a class teaching responsibility, consistently demonstrating good to outstanding practice as a role model to their team.
Share responsibility in a pathway for developing and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning of pupils with complex needs.
Set tasks and expectations which challenge pupils and ensure a high level of interest according to individual motivations and learning targets.
Be responsible for delivering effective and motivating learning opportunities which allow pupils to make expected and better progress.
Ensure that the class team is aware of expectations, learning intentions, and learning interventions for planned individuals they are working with.
