As the UK’s largest public space outside of London’s Trafalgar Square, it’s a vibrant hub of connection, celebration, and commerce. From summer's Riviera Beach to the festive Winter Wonderland, and regular farmers’ markets offering local delicacies, Old Market Square is the city’s beating heart.
Now, we’re bringing that same energy and spirit to Slug & Lettuce, Market Square, Nottingham — and we’re looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead the charge.
This is no ordinary Slug & Lettuce. This is your opportunity to take the reins of one of the most exciting venues in Nottingham, operating over two floors with a buzzing external space and a balcony that’s perfect for summer cocktails and good vibes.
As General Manager, you’ll be at the centre of it all — driving pre-booked sales, delivering incredible guest experiences, and managing both high-energy late nights and a strong food offering with equal passion. You'll know how to balance wet and dry sales, and you'll understand that every guest interaction is an opportunity to build loyalty and create magic.
We want someone with:
* A proven track record in high-volume, late-night or destination venues
* Flair and finesse when it comes to cocktails and high-quality service
* Leadership skills that inspire, empower, and elevate every member of the team
* Commercial focus — you’ll know your numbers and how to grow them
* A love for people and parties, matched with a head for operations and standards
