Join our Regional Scotland team as a MEP Manager with a Technical background to build new futures. This would be a great opportunity for an experienced Building Services Manager, Design Manager, Technical Manager, Project Manager or similar with a strong MEP background.
What you'll be doing
We are seeking a dynamic Technical MEP Manager to lead the successful delivery of a large scale MEP project. This position demands a seasoned leader who can drive strategy through execution, inspire multidisciplinary teams, and manage all project phases from initiation to closeout.
Who we're looking for
As a Technical MEP Manager you will have the following accountabilities:
* Business leader that can influence, create and articulate strategy through to implementation. Holds overall accountability for the successful delivery of the project/portfolio including initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/closeout.
* Thorough understanding of Design and Build and traditional construction contracts.
* Extensive experience in Mechanical / MEP design and Technical Management.
* Provide technical advice and assistance to other areas of the business and support business development from a technical solution perspective.
* Conduct regular independent design/technical reviews of both internal and external designs ensuring that both internal and external designs are technically correct and represent best value and comply with all legal and contracted requirements.
* Advise on commercial progress against plan, any variances from plan and the corrective actions being taken.
* Build and maintain mutually beneficial customer, key supplier and internal relationships. Promote the design team and actively seek out new opportunities. Communicate proactively with project stakeholders to improve our collaboration with operational teams.
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
* BSc/MSc in Management, Construction, or a related field.
* Membership in a professional management body (APM, etc.).
* Proficiency in MS Office 365, with a focus on project management tools.
* APM PFQ/PMQ/PPQ certifications, or equivalent.
* Full UK driving license.
