Job summary
As a Mobile Facilities Maintenance Gas Engineer, you will be attending and completing reactive works and delivering planned maintenance tasks within the NHS Property Services portfolio. The types of PPM we cover include gas boilers, gas water heaters, gas pipework testing, gas air heaters and gas radiant tube heaters. You will also ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies, procedures, and legislation to ensure statutory and mandatory compliance.

The key function of the role is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS, to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.

We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Technician - Combustion. This will be to join our team based in Batley Health Centre PFI. The starting salary for this role is from £36,000 (depending on experience) plus on call allowance. This is permanent full time position working hours per week. 1. BTEC City & Guilds plus relevant experience and training.
2. Registered Gas Safe Engineer with ACS qualifications in Domestic and Commercial Gas Installations.
3. NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent.
4. Formal apprenticeship or craft trained equivalent.

5. Driving licence is essential
6. Must be comfortable using technological devices to log jobs.
7. On-Call availability
8. Desirable to have industry experience
9. Ability to work alone and/or as part of a wider team as this role will require you to work cohesively with other Technical Disciplines.

10. Ensure compliance in accordance with all NHSPS Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policies, relevant NHSPS Technical Guidance, Process and Procedures, Statutory Regulations, Approved Codes of Practice and any applicable aspects of HTMs.
11. Ensue that new or revised practice and policies are implemented within own work areas.
12. Deliver Scheduled, Reactive and Remedial maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner (CAFM), helpdesk or Technical Services Supervisor, ensuring that operational standards are always maintained.
13. Duties may include (but not limited to) fault finding, minors repairs or installations and maintaining services and equipment within critical environments.
14. You may be required to undertake tasks in disciplines other than your own.
15. Ability to assess problems to determine the best course of action, this would include complex technical issues and be able to communicate technical and or complex information to various stakeholders.
