Job Description
The Compliance Officer will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring compliance with the firms' professional bodies' regulations, supporting audit compliance, adhering to legal requirements, and staying updated on regulatory changes.
2. Reviewing risk management policies, identifying and assessing risks, conducting regular risk assessments, and advising leadership on mitigation strategies.
3. Conducting compliance training, promoting a culture of compliance, overseeing client due diligence, and managing compliance incidents.
4. Identifying and managing risks across the business.
5. Developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.
6. Conducting regular compliance audits and reporting on findings.
7. Providing compliance training to staff across all departments.
8. Responding to compliance-related queries from employees.
9. Implementing corrective actions from audits and inspections.
10. Keeping up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation.
The Successful Applicant
The Compliance Officer should have:
1. A degree in law, finance, business administration or a related field.
2. Experience in a similar role within the Professional Services industry.
3. Excellent knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
