Based in Cheadle, Cheshire, the Assistant Management Accountant is a professional responsible for supporting the finance team to maintain accurate and timely information in our systems, assisting in the provision of internal reporting and financial control.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. To work with the Finance Director assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
2. Providing assistance to the Management Accountant and other members of the Finance team as required.
3. Accruals and pre-payments.
4. Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations.
5. Assisting with Asset Based Lender processes.
6. Assisting with the preparation of VAT submissions.
7. Organising events and office duties.
8. Ad-hoc tasks as and when required.
Experience:
1. A degree or AAT Level 3 or above qualification is essential.
2. Must have 3 years’ experience working within an Accounts role.
3. Possess an understanding of month end processes.
4. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is essential.
5. The use of NAVISION or ERP knowledge is desirable.
6. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
7. Ability to work towards deadlines and manage own time.
8. Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
