Description Temporary contract to cover maternity leave until January 2026 | part-time 22.2 hours per week | £25,584 to £27,269 per annum pro rata (Grade E) | Location Panel Administrator Children and young people in Norfolk with specialist or complex needs often need additional support. This support can be delivered in-house by different internal teams, or it can be sourced externally. Either way, we want to ensure that children and young people get the best support possible, achieve the best outcomes and get the best value out of public money. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Integrated Commissioning Team in Children’s Services to support High Needs commissioning. We are seeking an experienced, professional administrator with an eye for detail to support the Children and Young People’s Integrated Provision Panel. The panel’s role is to consider eligibility for joint funding contributions for support in more than one area of Education, Health and Social Care. This is an important role supporting the Panel Chair in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people by ensuring that: The necessary information is gathered in advance of each panel meeting. The panel process is managed effectively. Panel decisions are recorded accurately in the minutes. You must be able to work in a highly confidential and sensitive manner. You will be proactive and have the necessary self-organisational skills to manage requests for funding, supporting the process of information gathering and preparation for presentation at the panel. You will have excellent IT skills and be proficient at using Microsoft Office applications, including a working knowledge of SharePoint. You will be experienced in dealing with a range of internal and external contacts with proven customer service skills. Panels are held on Microsoft Teams so competence and experience in using Teams and working remotely will be required. Whilst prior experience of local government, particularly Children’s Services, would be beneficial, transferable experience of working within a large organisation or a multi-agency context will be considered. The role may be of particular interest to those with an interest in developing project support skills. Our team and work culture is supportive – flexible hybrid working is a key feature of this role. We want our people to be inspired and motivated to work well together, make the most of our different workspaces, enjoy a healthy work-life balance, and deliver excellent services to Norfolk and its people. Flexibility is built into the way we work. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. As a result, it is important that you have good broadband connectivity if working from home. This is a part time position which can be worked flexibly. However, the panel meets fortnightly on a Friday morning, attendance at which is an essential part of undertaking the role.
