Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP)
We are looking to expand our established MHSOP Psychology team in Leicestershire. It is a fantastic opportunity to join us at an exciting time as we embark on developing our psychology pathways across the service as part of the mental health transformation plan. We are looking for a band 8a psychologist or a band 7 psychologist who could be appointed with an agreed development/preceptorship plan, working towards an 8a role in the future. The post is being advertised at 0.8wte within Hinckley and Bosworth, but we can support applications for full-time working, offering input to other community teams and service areas. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this further. The CMHT base will be Hynca lodge in Hinckley although there will also be opportunities for flexible working from home.
Main duties of the job
To provide specialist clinical psychology input within Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP). To work within a CMHT setting as well as offering neuropsychological assessments within the memory service pathway. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and will have responsibility for the provision of a direct clinical service, as well as offering advice and consultation on psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues. The post holder will fulfil professional duties in accordance with the strategic aims of MHSOP, the professional code of conduct as stipulated by the BPS and Healthcare Professional Council, and in agreement with the Clinical Psychology Service manager.
