Regional Environment Health Safety Manager
Alexander Steele Recruitment is seeking a Regional Environment Health Safety (EHS) Manager for a global food manufacturing business. The role involves leading the HSE function across two sites in the West Midlands, influencing at all levels, and shaping both long-term and short-term strategies.
Key Details:
* Location: Within 45 minutes of the sites, with a 2-3 days onsite expectation per week.
* Salary: £65,000 plus bonus, pension, private health, and 33 days holiday.
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm, with flexibility required.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with legislation and corporate EHS standards.
* Develop and implement continuous improvement plans for EHS management systems.
* Collaborate with regulatory bodies, manage incident investigations, and report as required.
* Review and develop risk assessments, ensure staff training, and conduct regular EHS inspections.
* Promote reporting of near misses and hazards, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
Candidate Profile:
* IOSH Managing Safety and NEBOSH Diploma qualifications or equivalent.
* Experience with health and safety legislation, preferably in FMCG or highly regulated environments.
