More information is available on our Career site at www.fife.gov.uk/jobs/supportingstatement Job Details If appointed, you will be responsible for assisting the area delivery of the Bereavement Services function and related operations, ensuring the development and delivery of sustainable service provision at local Area/Ward level throughout Fife. Working in all weather conditions within a team and/or on occasion lone working undertaking associated work within cemeteries, churchyards, and crematoria gardens. The range of work will include assisting with the grounds maintenance of burial grounds and all work associated with this type of environment. Operation of a range of equipment including inspection, routine maintenance, and cleaning. Location, preparation of graves for funerals, carrying out required duties during funeral service and reinstatement of the grave following the funeral. Completion and submission of documents and reports legally & officially required. Staff development is offered to increase range of skills relevant to post. The Person The post holder is expected to work with minimal supervision and to accept responsibility for the direction of the work of the team. A driving licence is essential given the type of equipment the successful candidate will be trained on and expected to use. There may be a requirement to work at weekends and on Public Holidays to ensure continuity of Service Provision.
