WORKSHOP MANAGER
Salary - £45,000pa
Working Hours - 45 Hours per week

Our client is seeking an experienced Workshop Controller, Workshop Manager, or Workshop Foreman with a background as a HGV Technician in the Reading area.
Responsibilities of a Workshop Manager
1. Supervising and motivating our team of HGV Technicians and proactively reviewing daily workload to seek opportunities that will help drive performance.
2. Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing quality checks, resolving any issues, and reassuring customers by providing all necessary information and advice.
3. Supervising the daily timekeeping of technicians and managing authorized absence to ensure a consistent level of attendance.
4. Maintaining relationships with vehicle manufacturers and providing technical information for Technicians during repair operations.
5. Complying with Health & Safety regulations and ensuring high standards of housekeeping and security are achieved and maintained within the workshop and surrounding areas.
Skills and Qualifications of a Workshop Manager
1. Prior experience in a similar role.
2. HGV Technician experience.
3. Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage a workshop.
4. Well-developed management and leadership skills.
5. A working knowledge of automotive technology, warranty systems, and the brand would be beneficial.
6. Class 1 licence would be advantageous.
