We are recruiting a bookkeeper to join our busy accounts office in Glasgow. Due to our expanding business, we are looking for a forward-thinking Bookkeeper, ideally with experience in a professional accountancy practice.
The candidate will be responsible for processing transactions for a portfolio of bookkeeping clients whilst working to deadlines.
We pride ourselves on the quality of service and advice we give our clients and are looking for someone with a great ‘can do’ attitude and attention to detail, to join our happy team!
The face of accounting is changing and we ideally need someone with experience of cloud accounting to join us.
Brief Job Description
The role will involve dealing with all aspects of a client’s bookkeeping. Most of our clients are now using cloud software (mainly QBO with Dext) but we also have clients using Xero, Sage 50, Freeagent and others.
Minimum Qualifications Requirements for the role
1. Ideally 2 years + experience in an accountancy practice – with a strong technical background
2. Experience in cloud accounting, ideally having used QuickBooks Online and/or Xero
3. Experience with Sage 50 would also be a benefit
4. Experience processing payroll (although this is not a necessity)
5. Great communication skills both in person, by email and over the phone
6. Confidence and enthusiasm
7. Attention to detail
8. Flexibility – happy to turn your hand to anything
