GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic SEN school in London North. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and help them achieve their full potential.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:
1. Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
2. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
3. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
4. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents.
5. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
6. Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students.
7. Maintain accurate records of student progress.
Requirements of Teaching Assistant:
1. Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community.
4. Commitment to helping students with SEN.
5. Relevant qualifications or training in SEN education (desirable but not essential).
To work with GSL Education as a Teaching Assistant, you will need:
1. Have the right to work in the UK.
2. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
3. Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
