The successful candidate will ensure rigorous financial control within the business, driving through change where appropriate and providing stakeholders internally and externally with accurate, timely and relevant financial information.
Key Accountabilities include:
* Oversee the production of timely, relevant and accurate financial, commercial and operational reporting.
* Oversee submission of statutory reporting requirements (Statutory accounts and audit, Corp tax, PAYE, VAT, Company filing).
* Management, motivation and development of accounts team, ensure quality output from each of the respective areas.
* Manage, review and sign off all outgoings in the business ensuring rigorous checks are done.
* Efficient management and reporting of cash flow including accounts payable and credit control.
* Develop and enhance efficient internal management reporting systems.
* Develop internal procedures and processes to mitigate financial risks.
* Production of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly cashflow projections.
* Commercial and Operational performance monitoring and review.
* Assisting with on-going cost reduction and stock management programme.
* Assisting Financial Director in other matters (insurance, legal, contract review).
You will be ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Qualified with 5+ years post qualified commercial experience. You should have a proven record of managing people and be capable of improving systems, procedures and processes.
The ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally to the business is essential. A manufacturing/wholesale/retail background would be advantageous.
