Controls Engineer (PLC / Automation)
Location: Gloucester
Salary: GBP 50,000 to GBP 62,000 (Flexible DOE) + Contributory Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Additional 5 Days Holiday with Service + Private Medical + Group Life Assurance (5 x Salary) + Income Protection + Training and Development
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week (Week 1: Monday to Friday, Week 2: Monday to Thursday; Every Second Friday Off)

Candidates will need experience with PLC, HMI, and motion programming, ideally with robotic applications, and can come from any industry background.
The successful Controls / Automation Engineer will be based at the company’s site in Gloucester, where they will work within a small team programming PLC, HMI, and Motion Control applications for automated machinery. You will work on both new and existing machinery, so you will be involved in both programming from scratch and modification.
The role will also require international travel, and you can expect to travel four to five times per year, for two to three weeks at a time. You will typically travel alongside mechanical service engineers and will ensure any issues that arise after the machinery is rebuilt on customer sites are resolved to customers' satisfaction.

The Controls Engineer Role:
1. Programming PLC, HMI, and Motion Control: Rockwell Logix Platform, Safety PLC, Siemens Control systems, etc.
2. Modification and programming from scratch
3. Split between based in Gloucester and international travel
