We're looking for a Planning Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks team
Location: Can be based within the East Anglia region- Northamptonshire/ Norfolk/ Suffolk/ Lincolnshire. Mixture of home and office working
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
In this role, you will be working on the Integrated Maintenance, Repair and Development Services (IMRDS) alliance. The team maintains the water supply systems, repairs emergencies like water bursts and develops new ways to better service customers.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Planning Manager, you'll be working within the capital main laying team, who are committed to delivering high-quality, efficient solutions for crucial infrastructure projects.
You will be responsible for leading a team who manage the planning, reporting and technical support for the end to end delivery process of the capital delivery planned works programme. Your leadership will ensure the effective execution of work activities, helping to meet business performance targets. You will manage a team of Senior Planning Coordinators, who themselves lead their teams, ensuring schedules are optimised, performance is managed, and key processes are followed. The role will require you to drive continuous improvements and foster a culture of collaboration, safety and compliance.
Your day to day will include:
* Lead and manage a team of Senior Planning Coordinators to ensure effective scheduling and performance management against business KPIs
* Develop, optimise and monitor schedules for the capital delivery planned works programme, ensuring alignment with service and quality targets
* Coach and develop your team, providing training and operational insights to drive performance and reduce risks
* Act as the process liaison and business expert to drive operational improvements and support the integration of technology across the function
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the development and implementation of best practice, ensuring efficient delivery of all planned works
What are we looking for?
This role of Planning Manager is great for you if you hold:
* Experience of leading teams responsible for scheduling in operational environments, with a strong understanding of business strategy and process development
* Experience of optimisation and programme management, multi-period planning and Highways liaison at a regional level
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams, performance and operational targets
* Experience in using systems like SAP, Oracle and Power BI for data gathering and analysis
* Full driving licence
