Project Planning Manager: Construction

Our client has been established for more than 30 years and is a global market leader in providing the highest quality infrastructure solutions worldwide. Due to continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth for 2025, they are now seeking to recruit an organised and experienced Project Planning Manager to oversee all aspects of proactive planning and delivery of multiple build projects while maintaining the highest levels of quality, customer service, and satisfaction provided by the refurbishment division.
Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, planning, and logistics of temporary build solutions. They will ensure that solutions are planned effectively, meet the highest quality standards, comply fully with industry regulations, and adhere to often pressurised timescales and budgets.
To be considered for this varied and genuinely challenging role within a market-leading environment, the successful candidate should demonstrate considerable experience in planning, project, and people management, ideally gained within the construction industry, although experience in other fast-paced technical environments will be considered. Experience in modular construction is distinctly advantageous.
Essentially, you will possess strong leadership and team management skills, effective communication skills at all levels, and the ability to engage with and influence customers, suppliers, and tradespeople (electricians, carpenters, etc.). You should also have excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects with varying deadlines simultaneously while being mindful of resources, storage logistics, and customer requirements.
Additionally, you will demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, proficiency in project management software and tools, and comprehensive knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations. A full clean UK driving licence is essential for this position as travel to sites may be required, alongside being in the Head Office environment based near Gloucester.
