Employment Tribunal Co-ordinator (Paralegal)
Location: Hybrid - Solihull - 2 days per week in office
Full Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £25,000 depending on experience, plus benefits
Here at Serco, we are seeking an experienced Employment Tribunal (ET) Coordinator who will be responsible for providing all administrative and case management support to the Employee Relations Partner (ERP) for employment tribunal claims at Serco.
The ET Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the case administration tasks (predominantly in preparation for employment tribunal proceedings) are completed, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.
The role and activities include (but are not limited to):
* The review, preparation, organisation and management of tribunal case documents including disclosure and hearing bundles.
* Creating case documents such as timelines and case summaries.
* Ensuring all case files and timelines are maintained by the Employee Relations Partners and are kept up to date.
* Supporting timely responses to case management orders and deadlines.
* Coordinating with external third parties such as ACAS to facilitate early conciliation and, where appropriate, manage COT3 agreements.
* Collate and present external information on job searches for mitigation of loss arguments.
* Liaise with external third parties, including solicitors and barristers.
* Supporting the wider Employee Relations function with the management of settlement negotiations where appropriate, including the preparation and processing of settlement agreements.
* Coordinating the Employment Tribunal calendar to ensure the Employee Relations Partners have visibility of key dates and deadlines such as preliminary/final hearings, document disclosures and judicial mediation.
* Reporting on employment tribunal metrics and settlement volumes and providing regular updates to Employee Relations Partners, Business Unit Stakeholders and the Senior Management Teams.
* Dealing with requests from the business in relation to Employment Tribunal and Early Conciliation claims and associated queries.
What you'll need to do the role:
* Ability to build strong working relationships/networks with all stakeholders and maintain a high degree of integrity.
* Articulate and fluent communicator, with exemplary communication skills to liaise with ACAS and Employment Tribunals to the required standard.
* Confident operating within a client-facing environment.
* Strong time management and prioritisation skills, organising the team diary within a fast-paced environment, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Ability to work collaboratively, working closely with MyHR teams to ensure joined-up service delivery.
* Customer focus with a drive to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Think innovatively to ensure processes and workstreams are efficient, taking a proactive approach to streamline where necessary.
* Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* A high level of professionalism and confidentiality with a good understanding of GDPR.
