Materials Planner / Production Scheduler – Larne, Northern Ireland
This position would also suit Supply Chain Planner / Analyst, Production Scheduler Planner, or Logistics Planner.
4-day working week (Mon – Thurs, every Friday off)
£20 – £20.50 ph FCSA Umbrella (this role is deemed inside IR35)
£14.75 – £15.00 ph PAYE

We have been recruiting extensively for our Larne-based client and are looking to add another couple of people to this close-knit, successful team. One will be more biased towards Materials Planning, the other more Production/Manufacturing Scheduling biased.
Education/Experience:
Ideally, some form of either supply chain, material planning, shipping planning, supplier chasing, ensuring on-time deliveries, or related field job experience.
Good supplier liaison skills are required.
Progress chasing, Materials Chasing, Expediting, Production/Manufacturing control experience preferred.

Job Role:
* Previous experience in a Supply Chain role or job-relevant experience.
* Working in an MRP system to set supplier schedules.
* Good Excel skills.
Analytical in approach.
Intermediate Access skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
Strong team player.
Requires problem-solving skills to root cause corrective action and solve common problems.
* Using an online supplier collaboration portal to ensure efficient and timely supplier communication.
* Instigate material expedites when a line shortage is identified.
* Communicate potential material shortages and status reports with operations teams if required.
* Track and monitor supplier performance levels.
* Hold regular performance reviews with suppliers to drive improvements.
* Escalate poor supplier performance to Purchasing teams.
* Review material planning parameters to ensure optimum inventory holding to ensure consistent production and inventory turns targets are met.
Optimizing material flow throughout the plant site, servicing the production area.
Long-term ongoing contract, working within an enthusiastic supply chain team.
Rates:
The client is ideally looking to pay £20 – £20.50 (FCSA Umbrella – this role is inside IR35) or £14.75 – £15.00 PAYE to the successful candidate.
