PA to the Chief Executive

This is a full-time role for hours per week, Monday to Friday.
About the role
As the Chief Executive's PA, you will support them to maximise the effective and efficient use of their time on a daily basis, as they work to progress the priorities of the Council and the communities we serve.
Key tasks will include planning and scheduling meetings and events; preparing agendas; taking and sharing minutes and action notes; co-ordinating travel arrangements; ensuring Directors receive briefings and information in a timely manner; and helping to manage Directors’ inboxes so that emails are clearly filed, tracked, and responded to appropriately and efficiently. Broader tasks may also be requested as any urgent issues arise.
As well as working closely with Chief Executive, you will work collaboratively with colleagues within the PA service - positively supporting each other to overcome any challenges, sharing learning and ideas, and helping each other to meet the collective needs of the senior leadership team as a whole. You will also help to provide direction, support and training to PAs, and deputise for the PA Team Leader along with the PA to the Leader of the Council.
This is a ‘hybrid’ role, with an expectation that the postholder will work from an office location (most frequently Ellesmere Port) at least three days per week, in line with the needs of Directors and the PA Team.
