Job Description Programmes Quality Engineer / Quality Assurance Engineer Bristol Full Time An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. This role is part of the Programme Quality Engineer structure. The main function of this role is to ensure that Contractual Quality Requirements for products or services are understood, captured and flowed down through the business to ensure we meet regulatory, contractual and customer requirements. This role will also support the assigned programmes activities, including: Engaging with partners to align quality objectives Leading / Supporting resolution of investigation related to Customer complaints Where required, manage non-conformance through the agreed corporate methods and systems Leading and conducting compliance audits and reviews Monitoring the day to day operational activities to ensure compliance in line with contractual deliverables. This role is based at Bristol and may include limited travel, as per programme needs. What you will be doing Acting as the Quality focal point for assessing and capturing Quality related Contractual requirements to ensure the contract deliverables are understood and flowed down through applicable Quality documentation, creating and / or maintaining Quality Plans as applicable. Hold meeting with the Customer to understand Quality requirements and ensure Commercial, Programme and Key Stakeholders within the business are consulted and commit to the requirements of the Contract. Ensure required tasks are completed on time, to the required standard understanding lessons learnt from other programmes on managing Quality are captured and flowed into the programme. Conduct improvement projects to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of a process by applying the appropriate Quality improvement tools. Manage Quality relationships within a partnership environment, including both internal & external meetings, presentations, non-conformance management, etc. Support the business’s internal & external audit programme as a lead/support auditor, Deliver and maintain Quality System processes that are consistent with the Rolls-Royce Management Systems (RRMS). Support allocated Programme as the Defence Programme Quality Engineer. Attend Programme Review Meetings and report status of Quality Issues. Conduct/facilitate root cause investigations into “customer escapes” and ensure appropriate containment is in place where necessary. Lead the resolution of quality related Customer Complaints to maintain Customer Satisfaction. Your main contacts / relationships in this role will be: Quality Executives/VPs, Commercial Manager, Programme Manager, Customer Representatives, OE and MRO Managers, and other Contract specific Key Stakeholders. Who we’re looking for Self-starter with previous experience in stakeholders management and good confidence to communicate effectively within the business and customers at all levels. Application of problem-solving process techniques (5 whys, RCA, 8D), training can be provided. Knowledge of Green Belt and Process Improvement methodologies. Auditor or Lead Auditor, Extensive knowledge of Regulatory requirements and International Quality Standards. Good IT skills working with a range of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI etc.) and SAP.
