This People Development & Inclusion Advisor will report to the Learning & Development Manager and will work within the Human Resources directorate based in either our London, Borehamwood or Stevenage offices. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £40,000.00 and a bonus of 7.5%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

THE TEAM
The Learning and Development team operate in an environment where creativity and collaboration are important aspects of our work. The team help design and deliver three main areas of activity:
* Personal and leadership development programmes for employees across the organisation
* STEM and early careers outreach programme to attract the next generation of talent
* UK Power Networks internal diversity and inclusion strategy and external collaboration projects.
JOB PURPOSE
As a Learning & Development Specialist you will help support our learning and development programmes and delivering our ED2 Workforce Resilience Commitments. You will be focused on the management of personal development programmes and supporting the delivery of the diversity and inclusion strategy.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
This is not a static or exhaustive list. Our priorities and accountabilities change in line with annual strategies and wider regulation periods. However, outlined below are some main responsibilities that you are likely to get involved in:
* Design and management of the UK Power Networks graduate programme and associated training plans
* Manage upskilling apprenticeship pathways including internal recruitment of suitable delegates, contract management and supporting successful outcomes
* Deliver diversity & inclusion awareness and training events
* Design and deliver training and development sessions and workshops
* Support with wider Learning & Development activities to support employee personal growth and leadership development
* Work with the team to identify improvements and new ideas, considering risks, opportunities and impacts arising
* Provide development and inclusion guidance to managers and employees across the business.
NATURE & SCOPE
UK Power Networks develops, delivers, and manages safe and sustainable electricity distribution networks. We work in both regulated and unregulated markets. The vast majority of our employees work in the regulated business - the public electricity networks – working with our regulator Ofgem in a series of regulatory review periods. A smaller proportion of the business takes on major commercial projects and contracting assignments ranging from supporting the major London airports to Powerlink, the private maintainer of much of the London Underground.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
* Previous experience working in a Learning & Development, Diversity & Inclusion, or similar role
* Experience of managing multiple projects concurrently
* Strong presentation design skills and confident public speaker
* Experience with diversity and inclusion
* Organised and detail-oriented
* Team player and willingness to get stuck in
* Able to find solutions and adhere to tight deadlines
* Identify, engage and manage relationships with all partners
* Driving Licence - We have depots and offices right across London and the South East of England and you may be required to travel to any of them to deliver training or support to teams and managers.
