CY Executive are working exclusively to recruit a Financial Controller who is ready to take ownership of the finance function of our client's thriving SME. This is a hands-on, wide-ranging role that covers all aspects of financial management alongside broader company and HR responsibilities.
As the Financial Controller, you'll have sole responsibility for the financial operations, delivering accurate, timely financial insights that support sound decision-making and contribute to the company's continued growth. This hybrid role offers deep involvement in all areas of company finances—from day-to-day accounting functions to high-level forecasting, budget setting, and strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure precise financial reporting.
2. Prepare and present monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and forecasts as well as more general day to day responsibilities.
3. Manage the annual budget process and support ongoing financial planning.
4. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including audit oversight.
5. Support HR-related functions, contributing to the overall business operation.
6. Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders on financial matters and company direction.
7. Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and practices.
About You:
We are looking for a qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or qualified-by-experience Accountant with broad experience in financial management, ideally from a service or client-facing background. You will be highly adaptable, proactive, and experienced in managing end-to-end finance within an SME environment.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a senior finance role within an SME.
2. Background in the service sector or a similar client-centred field.
3. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with senior stakeholders.
