Technip Energies and their partners (Consortium partner and Construction partner) was awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the world’s first commercial scale gas-fired power station with carbon capture. The construction site is located in Teesside Valley in the North-East of England. We are seeking a Public Relations and Communication Coordinator to join the Project team in the North-East. You will be responsible for developing the relations with the local communities and Public Authorities as well as coordinating onsite communication. You will be able to develop a relationship mapping (in line with the client), initial communication diagnosis, recommendations, and propose an advocacy plan. Job Scope Your mission 1. Public relations In collaboration with the Project Director and the Head of Communications of T. EN UK Design the advocacy plan (in coordination with the client – to support and supplement their plan depending on the project needs) Articulate the key messages related to the project towards public authorities, local communities and other project’ stakeholders (e.g. councils, MPs, Public bodies, etc.) Identify the best channels to convey consistent messages towards authorities and protect the project / the consortium Coordinate the advocacy plan with our partners’ actions if need be, to ensure alignment. Establish a clear communication plan, identifying standard types, formats and distribution requirements for each type of anticipated communication category. 2. External Communication Be the point of contact between both our partners and our client for external communication approval to guarantee a smooth and compliant approval process Prepare and set up the monthly communication call with the client on external communication approval. Prepare key messages for external communication of the project with project teams Disseminate external communication rules (dos & don'ts) within the project Contribute to the key messages and the approval process of the crisis communication plan 3. Internal Communication Provide internal communication support to project directorate. Identify communication needs of strategic project leaders (HSE, Compliance, Quality, etc.) and propose dedicated actions Prepare a supporting internal calendar which will drive timely issuance of all internal communications and events Implement the onsite communication actions and campaigns on key topics Anticipate upcoming communication topics by working closely with project teams Be proactive in proposing new communication topics and actions Develop good communication practices and synergies within the project Contribute to the production of project videos/photo shoots Organize project events (in-person/remote) Supervise the production of the project quarterly newsletter Ensure compliance of project content with the NZT Power Project’s graphic and editorial charter Manage the photo library dedicated to the project Your main objectives Gain positive and continuous visibility of the project towards local stakeholders Protect the project and consortium’s reputation Develop and strengthen the sense of belonging, particularly by highlighting the achievements of the teams, via the communication plan Share key project milestones within international project teams, using the key communication channels (Viva Engage and SharePoint) Ensure the project is portrayed with a positive overview within the Technip Energies group, including key, achievements of the project teams and individuals You will report to the Project Directorate, with a functional report to the Head of Public Affairs and Communication based in our UK Operating centre. Your skills - Experienced profile in Public Relations, internal and external communication. - Team worker and ability to work with diverse personalities and culture - Focused, diligent and structured with the ability to deliver critical results on tight deadlines - Mastery of editorial, digital, and event communication. - Ability to quickly immerse yourself in sometimes technical and complex subjects and organizations. - English writing skills for all types of texts and formats: news, posts, articles, magazine, social networks, etc. - Mastery of Microsoft Office suite of tools - Good understanding of video production and graphic design (basic knowledge and ability to write creative briefing documents) The role will be based in the North-East of England, preferably in Teesside, at the heart of the construction site so mobility required.
