Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Associate Lecturer in Maths and/or English at our Brinsbury campus. You will join us on a variable hours basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £25.30 - £39.47 per hour.
The Associate Lecturer role:
Are you passionate about delivering a curriculum that develops learners' maths and/or English skills and helps them achieve their key GCSE qualifications?
Brinsbury College is recruiting a bank of Associate Lecturers to teach Maths and/or English GCSE and Functional Skills and engage with a diverse range of learners. This is a flexible role that enables you to accept work assignments when convenient for you.
Key Responsibilities of our Associate Lecturer:
1. Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, as agreed.
2. Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
3. Undertaking administration and providing reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
4. Contributing to the development of curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity.
5. Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding.
6. Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector.
7. Adopting a proactive approach to participation in appropriate meetings and training, as agreed with the curriculum area.
8. Undertaking the delivery of literacy and numeracy.
Our ideal Associate Lecturer should have the below skills and experience:
1. Level 3 (or equivalent) in related subject.
2. Level 2 literacy and numeracy.
3. Relevant GCSE / Functional Skills teaching and assessing experience in a related subject.
4. An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups.
5. Time management skills, organisational skills, and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
