JBT are looking for new Field Service Technicians to join the Proseal team! Due to the large size of our installed base, we are looking to recruit the right applicant in a number of locations to satisfy our customers, so location doesn’t matter.

Proseal UK Ltd is a company that designs and manufactures high quality tray sealing and conveying systems for the food industry. Formed in 1998, Proseal has not only become the leading manufacturer of tray sealing machinery and tooling in the UK but is now also recognised as a major force internationally with manufacturing facilities in United States and Australia along with offices in Ireland, Holland, Spain, Canada, South America, and Dubai.
The Opportunity
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
The role of Field Service Technician at Proseal is critical to the success of our business where the service levels on site and support of our customers are best in class. As such it is very important that all applicants understand that successful candidates must always present a strong image of the company.
Jobholder Responsibilities:
* Perform PPM service work to our install base of machinery and tooling.
* Perform on site commissioning of machines, conveyors, tooling, and bespoke machinery.
* Perform on-site support to breakdown situations.
* Perform on call and service duties as per service Rota.
* Provide remote support to customers and Proseal service engineers as required.
* Conduct operator and technical training events at the client’s site or at Proseal locations.
* Working as part of a team or individually responding to on-site customer support requests.
* Manage and interpret customer requirements - listen to clients and understand, anticipate, and fulfil their needs.
* Fulfil all required administration in a timely manner.
* Assist with machine building or testing as required when in workshop.
* Continuous improvements in the processes and service we offer.
* Keep up to date with new technologies or process procedures.
* Ensure the customer is happy with all aspects of work before leaving site.
* Contact Service Manager before leaving customer site with progress report and/or follow up work required.
* Provide feedback on common problems and advise on potential defects.
* Develop and maintain the customer relationship.
* To undertake any other duties required by management to meet the needs of the business.
* To comply with all statutory and Proseal specific health and safety requirements.
Shift Pattern/Working Hours:
* 40-hour week.
* The successful candidate will be expected to work outside of these hours regularly including weekends.
* You will also be placed on a 24/7 service rota 3 times annually for a period of typically 7 days.

* You will be required to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, with good communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with customers in a high-pressure situation.
* Be flexible to working hours and location as you will be required to work away from home.
* Possess a high degree of punctuality, reliability, flexibility, and self-motivation.
Experience/Qualifications:
* Essential:
o Have completed a recognised apprenticeship in a mechanical or electrical engineering discipline or equivalent.
o Have NVQ level 3 in an electrical installation or maintenance discipline.
o Hold a valid UK driving license.
o Hold a current passport as international travel may be required.
o Be PC literate with ability to create, modify and maintain MS office documents (PDF Files, excel, Word, PowerPoint).
o Understand and meet Health and Safety obligations in line with company requirements.
* Desirable:
o Have a working knowledge of pneumatic systems.
o Have knowledge of PLC systems and the ability to upload and download programs.
o Understand motion control systems, servo motors and/or frequency inverters.
