POSITION:Head of Projects and Programmes REPORTING TO: Chief Executive SALARY: £55,000 - £65,000 Salary to be awarded based on relevant experience and skills TERM:Full-timePermanent ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: 25 days leave plus 12 public / bank holidays per annum On site car parking Flexible working 7% employer pension contribution Benenden health insurance PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this post is to support the Chief Executive to deliver on the strategic priorities of the charity through the delivery of high quality and efficient programmes and initiatives as identified in the Belfast Waterfront Promenade Framework and Maritime Belfast Business Plan. This includes income generation responsibilities, securing external funding, aligning internal resources, establishing clear project management systems to support and report on progress across the Maritime Belfast team, and working effectively with local stakeholders and partners to further grow collaboration across the Belfast Waterfront area. Projects will range from complex capital projects and environmental improvement schemes to large scale events, animation initiatives and research projects. Essential criteria Degree level qualification in a relevant area or equivalent OR 5 years relevant Business / Project management experience. At least 2 years senior experience in: Successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects and programmes. Building and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and funders. Securing and managing external funding and experience of developing income streams. Experience of managing resources staff and financial. Experience of developing complex business and financial plans and associated budgets. Available to work outside normal hours and weekends as required. Available to attend industry events, host social events and attend meetings which may be out of hours. This role may require some travel throughout Northern Ireland, UK and Europe. Desirable At least 3 years experience in a similar role. Leading delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects and programmes within an area-based approach. Managing delivery of significant public realm projects. Experience in protecting and conserving heritage. Experience in securing and sustaining commercial revenue streams. Technical knowledge of delivering capital projects, e.g. planning applications, managing contractors via NEC or JCT contracts Experience of working at a senior level management, committee or board level.
