What you will be doing:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with Data Architects, Engineers and Business Stakeholders to elicit business requirements and design new features that enhance the Group’s data offering. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and maintaining an understanding of data across key business areas, systems, processes and business relationships.
2. Analysing data sources and lineages to refine the design for a new Azure Data Platform. Assisting with Proof of Concepts to refine design patterns and collaborate with design review boards.
3. Creating high quality & comprehensive project documentation; maintaining data dictionaries, source to target mappings and data requirements documentation.
4. Working closely with Data Architects and Business SMEs to mature a corporate data model, communicating technical detail to technical and non-technical audiences, providing support to development teams on Modelling best practice.
5. Collaborating with the Data Architects, Owners and Stewards to ensure the opportunities and impacts of new features are fully exploited and understood.
6. Assist our Data Governance initiatives, systemising Data Lineage and Data Quality Rules and refining Metadata capture.
7. Working to continuously improve processes and solutions in the Data Pod, contributing to the strategic data architecture and data strategy.
8. Opportunities to help refine the Standards, Policies & Governance Structures within the Bank.
In return for your commitment:
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £66,000 - £70,000 and a competitive benefits package including:
1. Discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 15%.

Could you be the one?
We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:
1. Previous work experience in large scale Data Warehousing projects in corporate environments in regulated industries.
2. Desired experience with Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, ADSL2, CosmoDB, Synapse, PowerBI & DataBricks.
3. Desired experience with Data Modelling Tools (ER/Studio, Erwin).
4. Strong proficiency in SQL, PySpark and Database Design.
