The role of the Financial Planning Assistant is to assist in providing administrative and technical support to the business.
Qualifications
Minimum R01
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial planning firm
Key Contributions and Outputs
1. New and existing client communications and queries
2. Supporting the dealing with new enquiries and prospects
3. Supporting the dealing with existing client enquiries
4. Supporting the paraplanners in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives
5. Supporting the paraplanner in the processing of new business
6. Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets
7. Contributing to the smooth running of the administrative function within the business
8. Promoting the profile of the business within the profession and wider communities
9. Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs
10. Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally
The role holder is responsible for:
1. Managing new business recording and submission
2. Communicating and recording product and planning analysis results
3. Basic report writing
4. Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties
5. Individual workflow and task delivery
6. Assisting the business with:
7. Preparing paperwork for client meetings
8. Planning and product research
9. New business submission and tracking to conclusion
10. Technical filing on to business systems
11. Booking client appointments
12. Greeting clients to the office
13. Dealing with client queries
