We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent customer service and organisational skills to join our team at the Goole Customer Service Centre.
This is a challenging and demanding role, and experience of working with the public would be an advantage.
What you will be doing:
As a Customer Advisor, your role will be to provide a high-quality customer transaction, enquiry, and information service to local residents. You will work as part of a team and will interact with customers both face to face and on the telephone. The role will involve engaging with residents, including supporting the increased use of digital channels to access council services.
Regular cover at Howden Centre undertaking Customer Services duties is a feature of the role, and travel to and from Howden Centre will be required.
About you:
You will be a dynamic and motivated individual with excellent communication and I.T skills, who enjoys speaking directly with the public and possesses a great telephone manner. You are someone who enjoys working with customers of all ages and can deal with difficult situations effectively while keeping calm under pressure.
You will need to demonstrate that you:
* Are a good team player who can easily adapt to new situations and has the ability to work on your own initiative without supervision.
* Have excellent IT skills to assist and encourage customers to self-serve and can use a wide range of computer software systems while serving customers.
* Possess the ability to promote and utilise digital resources for effective service delivery.
* Can effectively respond to customer enquiries via face to face, telephone, email, and web chat channels as appropriate.

Days and hours per week:
22.50 hours per week – 9:00am - 5:00pm.
Mon 7.5hrs, Tue 7.5hrs, Wed 7.5hrs.
This is a fixed term role for 12 months.
