Senior Resourcing Advisor - Ref: RT09524
Salary G7 £32,654 - £37,035 per annum (pay award pending)
Contract: 37 hours, full-time, permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Resourcing Advisor, who will be part of our growing Inclusive Recruitment and Organisational Development (OD) team and act as senior advisor, managing a small team of resourcing/recruitment specialists.
In 2023, a new and exciting Organisational Development (OD) team was created. This team has begun embedding a strategy for organisational development based on collective leadership, staff engagement, health and wellbeing, and equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). As part of this work, there is a need for a recruitment specialist to join the council. This specialist will contribute to developing opportunities that are accessible to all, support internal and external stakeholders with recruitment queries, and promote Walsall Council as an Employer of Choice at external events.
What will you be doing?
1. Managing the Resources Team, supporting the continuous improvement of wider recruitment across the Council.
2. Playing a leading role in the continuous improvement of the Resources Team, ensuring effective use of technology and new ways of working.
3. Using Oracle Recruitment Cloud (ORC) and self-service support tools to support service delivery.
4. Communicating effectively with the team, OD members, Business Support function, and customers to ensure a highly professional service.
5. Advising stakeholders and service areas about job vacancies, apprenticeships, supported internships, work experience, and graduate programmes.
6. Supporting the Inclusive Recruitment Lead and OD Business Partner (IR) in organizing and staffing outreach and careers events.
7. Analyzing service activity and workload data to inform opportunities and initiatives for increasing diversity and inclusion.
About you:
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent people management skills and a coaching leadership style that aligns with Walsall Council values. You will be an excellent communicator when it comes to presenting, writing, and speaking with customers and stakeholders and have an in-depth understanding of online recruitment systems such as ORC.
This post will involve regular travel and attendance at recruitment events to promote Walsall Council as an employer of choice; therefore, a full, clean UK driving license is a requirement for this role.
