The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties, which include the receipt of all correspondence, booking of patient medical appointments, and attendance at designated meetings recording accurate notes. Completion of audio transcription of clinical letters, reports and other correspondence as required by the Consultant Psychiatrist and medical team.
To act as a focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquiries for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals and staff within the Trust, GPs, Social Workers, Service Users, Carers, and any other appropriate external agencies. You will also help cover when other secretaries within the service are on annual leave.

To provide a comprehensive medical secretarial service to 2 consultant psychiatrists working with young people.

Qualifications
* GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent
* AMSPAR Diploma or equivalent qualifications or minimum of 2 years Medical Secretary experience
* Level 2 RSA/OCR word processing/typing qualification/equivalent experience
* Level 3 word processing/typing qualification
Knowledge and Experience
* Medical Secretarial experience
* Audio typing experience
* Good telephone manner
* Experience of working under pressure
* Diary management experience
* Working knowledge of medical terminology
* Working with people who suffer from Mental Health or other related problems
