Are you passionate about quality and continuous improvement? We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in Kilmarnock. In this role, you will provide technical support to ensure that manufacturing processes and products meet quality requirements while representing the customer’s voice.
Your contribution:
* Direct, support, and coordinate scrap reduction activities to improve manufacturing efficiency.
* Manage and action customer complaints using structured problem-solving tools, acting as the local coordinator for Web 8D reports.
* Oversee the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) process and drive corrective actions.
* Manage and conduct internal and external audits to IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards, ensuring compliance.
* Maintain and improve P-FMEAs and Control Plans, ensuring alignment with process improvements.
* Train and support personnel in SAP QM Modules, Document Control, and QDAS statistical software.
Your qualifications and experience:
* HNC/HND or higher in Science or Engineering.
* At least 5 years of experience in a Quality role within a high-volume engineering environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills with experience using tools like Ishikawa, 5-Why, and Is/Is Not analysis.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP QM Modules, and statistical software.
* Experience with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 auditing standards.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with internal teams and external customers.
