Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Consultant In GUM and HIV medicine. We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated clinician who demonstrates excellent leadership skills with regard to individualperformance, clinical teams, the Trust and when participating in national or local initiatives. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate effective collaborative working with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and experience inchairing meetings for all specialties and trust at all levels. The Integrated Sexual and Reproductive Health Services across York and North Yorkshire incorporates five Specialist Sexual Health services (SSHS) and a number of spoke clinics as well as three HIV treatment clinics. We provide a full range of sexual and reproductive health services based at York, Selby, Harrogate, Northallerton and Scarborough covering a diverse client group across York and North Yorkshire within the SSHS we run a range of walk-in and booked appointment clinics across six days and within the HIV treatment services we run booked appointments in York, Scarborough and Harrogate across 4 days. Across the range of services we see approx 32,000 patient attendances annually. Main duties of the job The principle duty of this post is to provide a comprehensive Integrated Sexual Health and HIV services to patients from York, North Yorkshire and surrounding areas who attend out clinics. To devote time on a regular basis for teaching and training of Junior medical staff, contributing as appropriate to post-graduate and continuing medical education. To devote, through agreement, time on a regular basis for the teaching and training of medical students as part of agreed teaching and training with Hull York Medical School.
