The Night Shift Supervisor will provide effective frontline management across Production, Packing, and Warehouse operations. This role is crucial for achieving our key Supply Chain performance indicators, including Health and Safety, Quality, Cost, and Service. The primary focus is to proactively manage colleagues to manufacture products to the highest possible standards of quality and efficiency with minimal wastage. This is accomplished through effective labour planning, ensuring material availability, and maintaining a safe working environment for all colleagues and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
1. To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.
2. To ensure that all Company and customer quality procedures are complied with to deliver the highest possible standard of product to meet our customers' expectations.
3. To ensure that the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in the unit and across the whole facility.
4. To act as the initial point of contact for all issues within the designated units across all department on nights.
5. To deliver financial performance by working with support functions.
6. To deliver clear action plans to improve efficiency and reduce waste within the unit.
7. To provide accurate and relevant data daily, weekly, and monthly to support the performance delivery and effective management.
8. To manage the skills of all colleagues in the unit and where further training is required, plan and ensure that skills are further developed.
9. To actively encourage all colleagues to provide solutions to problems and a means of improving the company both to reduce cost and enhance its position in the business environment and local.
10. To proactively manage labour requirements, skills, and numbers to deliver the required production volumes.
11. To set the standards of behaviour, work ethic, and appearance to all colleagues and visitors.
12. To actively manage all people issues and challenges using all relevant departments and support staff to correctly manage these situations.
13. To provide agreed team briefs to all colleagues at agreed times.
14. To review team performance with each line during shifts to provide relevant information in Short Interval Control (SIC) meetings.
15. To ensure that the business is correctly appraised of any challenges and successes within the units.
16. To ensure that all communication is completed with accurate data, correct facts, and is carried out in a professional manner.
17. To always challenge the status quo to ensure the unit of responsibility is continually striving to be the best it can be.
18. Together with other peers ensure that site has management cover at all times and all colleagues are clear about the contact for that shift.
19. To adhere to all HR policies/procedures and to deal with people issues that may arise in a timely and accurate manner - eg. Return to Work Reviews, Performance Management & Time and Attendance etc.
20. To take an active role in continuously developing your skills and knowledge through self-development activities and/or through attending Company organised training and development.
21. To ensure that the Company is professionally represented at all times, both inside and outside the business.
22. To ensure that the business is correctly appraised of any challenges and successes in the unit.
Responsibility For Staff/Equipment/Budget:
1. All nightshift colleagues
2. All machinery and equipment
3. Delivery of agreed KPI's on labour and material usage to budgeted levels.
Key Performance Indicators/Key Result Areas:
1. H & S - accident levels, effective proactive management i.e. Near miss monitoring and close out
2. Right first-time index - managing all production to meet company and customer product standards
3. Labour performance - i.e. cost and efficiency, relevant measure for appropriate forum material costs - as labour notes
4. Line efficiency - to meet targets and have clear action plans to improve further
5. Absence & return to work rates
