If you are an EH&S Technician professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Stafford, TX location, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and improvement of safety and environmental standards within the company. The EHS Technician will actively participate in cost, safety and sustainability reduction initiatives while upholding company safety and hygiene standards.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Handle the company's security program including badging, access, security cameras, and alarm system.
* Perform safety inspections as assigned, identifying, and addressing/correcting potential hazards.
* Provide safety, security and environmental training to facility personnel.
* Support general activities related to safety, hygiene, and environmental compliance.
* Actively participate in training programs and follow all company regulations and safety standards, including those set by OSHA, TCEQ, EPA, DOT, FM Global, and other regulatory bodies.
* Responsibility for installation of EHS equipment, materials, etc...
* Install and maintain risk prevention measures.
For This Role, You Will Need:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to secure: OSHA 30 hour in General Industry, DOT certification, RCRA Federal and Texas and any other certifications
* Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly - 40 lbs. intermittently
* Ability to handle hazardous materials safely
* Ability to safely use manual tools and power equipment
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* Practical knowledge of regulatory requirements as it pertains to Environmental Protection Agency, OSHA and TCEQ
* 1 year work experience in a supporting role in Environmental Health and Safety or Security
