Job Description System Design Integrator Full Time Bristol Why Rolls-Royce? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a System Design Integrator Engineer to join the Defence Mature Programs product portfolio of Combat, Transport and Naval products within the ET&S capability in Bristol. As the System Design Integrator you will be responsible for problem resolution, defining requirements; designing and integrating products, performing technical analysis; verifying products, physical & functional systems and components throughout the product lifecycle for the Naval MT30 and WR21 Engines. What you will be doing: Apply understanding of gas turbine product operation, product systems, sub-systems and interactions. Integrate and manage interfaces. Design of systems using Systems Engineering principals including the use of Robust Design tools & techniques to achieve optimum solutions at product and sub-system level. Problem resolution including ownership of, for example: root cause investigations, problem reports, Red Tops, Safety Alert Reports (SARs), Quality Concerns, Major Quality Investigations (MQIs), Drawing Alteration Requests (DARs). Bachelor's degree or Master's in Engineering or regional equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience Strong technical knowledge in mechanical design methodologies and have an understanding of cross-discipline engineering concepts which include but are not limited to manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analysis, cost engineering and product definition. An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks Good communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
