The Head of Grocery will be responsible for driving the growth of our innovative beverage and snacking portfolio across the UK’s major grocery retailers (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons) and high street accounts (Boots, WHSmith, Co-op). This role is uniquely positioned to champion the big ideas behind our brands, building strategic partnerships that align with the ambition and energy of the portfolio. In addition to leading at a strategic level, the Head of Grocery will inspire and mentor their team, comprising of an experienced talented Senior National Account Manager and Channel Controller, to ensure our brands are nurtured and scaled effectively across the UK market. Key Responsibilities Strategic Growth of Brands Position our beverage and snacking portfolio as must-have categories within UK grocery and high street retailers. Develop tailored strategies to drive the growth of challenger brands, ensuring alignment with their unique selling propositions and our business model. Work closely with brand owners to understand their vision and translate it into actionable plans for the UK market. Retailer Partnerships Build and maintain director and senior director-level relationships with Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Boots, WHSmith, and Co-op. Act as an ambassador for our brands, influencing key stakeholders and negotiating terms that secure optimal distribution, shelf space, and promotional plans. Introduce and secure listings for new brands in the portfolio, leveraging their disruptive appeal and our reputation. Team Leadership Lead and inspire the team empowering them to succeed in their roles while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Provide coaching on key account management, trade negotiations, and category insights to elevate team capabilities. Set and monitor KPIs for the team, ensuring accountability and consistent delivery on objectives. Strategic Planning & Execution Develop and execute the channel strategy for grocery and high street, with a clear focus on scaling challenger brands sustainably. Ensure the business model supports nurturing brands to become market leaders, balancing growth with profitability. Use data-driven insights to inform promotional planning, forecasting, and category positioning. Collaboration across the business Work closely with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure seamless execution of brand plans Act as the voice of the UK grocery and high street customer internally, influencing product development and portfolio strategy. Champion the mission of nurturing brands by sharing success stories with internal and external stakeholders. Market Expertise & Innovation Stay ahead of trends in the beverage and snacking categories, ensuring our brands are positioned to capitalize on shifts in consumer behaviour and retailer needs. Provide insights into competitors, market dynamics, and shopper behaviours to shape strategy. Experience Minimum 10 years’ experience in account management, grocery sales, or channel strategy, with a focus on the UK market. Proven success with beverage and/or snacking categories, ideally with experience scaling challenger or disruptive brands.
