Kickstart your career with a 12-week summer placement and start building your future today.  What youâll do  Providing clean water and the removal of wastewater doesnât just happen. Our team of 400 samplers, scientists and support staff analyse their way through an average of one test every minute to ensure we protect public health and the environment. As such there is an ever-growing need for accurate real time data benefited by advancements in field monitoring technology.  As a Scientific Analysis & Logistics intern, youâll be based within our Scientific Services, Business Improvement and Assurance function. Youâll have the opportunity to visit treatment works, learn what analysis is conducted onsite and how we ensure this data is reliable and accurate. Youâll gain an understanding of our regulatory responsibilities and the quality standards that we work to. Youâll also support the development of our field monitoring activity, providing real-time information where itâs needed.  This is a paid summer internship with an hourly rate of £12.60, aligned with the Real Living Wage. This is typically a full-time position (35 hours), but weâre open to discussing flexible working patterns where possible to suit your needs. For a 35-hour week, the equivalent annual salary would be around £23,020, pro-rated for the length of the internship.   What youâll need⯠⯠  Youâll be in the penultimate year of university, or maybe about to do a Masters. Either way, youâll be on course for at least a 2:2 degree. And it goes without saying that you will be available for the full placement time: 12 weeks .    You will be studying towards a degree in a relevant scientific or environmental discipline. You will also have excellent data management skills. To get the most from the programme, youâll be ready to engage fully in the development opportunities that are available to you .   Youâll need to live within commuting distance of our field hub in Dundee (Bullion House, Mill Road, Invergowrie, Dundee, DD2 5BB).  Youâll be comfortable working with Microsoft Office products and willing to spend time working in our office and being out in the field with our team. There may also be the opportunity to spend some time working from home.   In terms of essential requirements?
